The young german soldier Paul while walking the streets of poland in 1941 hears pianomusic from a window. As he goes to investigate he finds Alexandra, a polish musician.
Inspite of the war they start a relationship which can only end tragically when the young love is discovered by Irina, Alexandras mother, and Paul meets the family's jewish friends.
Based on the research to the documentary “Dance Macabre” on fine artist Dieter Wien and his experience during WWII this 12 minute short was shot on 35mm in and around London. Completed in 2008 it was shown last at the prestigous film festival Arpa in California.
