Dance Macabre (WT)
|
Fine artist Dieter Wien, who grew up in the milieu of soldiers and upper middle class citizens, was conscripted to the army when he was seventeen years old. He lived through the war in a partisan battle which was fought mercilessly on both sides, until he is imprisoned after the end of the war. How did art help a German prisoner of war to survive imprisonment under Tito’s partisans? Where can we discover his experiences in his art? How did the family of today’s artist deal with the war experiences of the grandfather? and he himself?
„The dancing looked insane. At least to the ones who couldn't hear the music. . .“ (Alice Monet)
